Government employees and responsibilities!
When the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government delayed the salaries for the last month, many provincial employees went on a rampage in the Facebook world. This behavior of the provincial government cannot be defended in any way because there are many employees who get their salaries at the end of the month and they survive on these salaries. But on the other hand, are the government employees giving their output properly? Are they busy performing their duties? Do those who come to government jobs make their livelihood halal? Can the government do justice to the duties they have chosen to perform? Do these government employees come on time to perform their duties? Aren't these government employees doing business along with their official duties? Do these employees feel satisfied when they get paid at the end of the month?
These are the basic questions a government employee should ask. As a government employee, I can say that people come to government institutions not to do jobs but to spend time and at the end of the month they earn a lot of money. It was a few months ago that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was the government in the federation and the central government of Tehreek-e-Insaf increased the salaries of government employees by 15% in March 2022 on the demand of government employees. There is another federal government institution with our office. An employee of this institution came to our office to see the newspaper after hearing about the increase in salaries. Looking at the newspaper, he said that it was better not to increase the salaries at all.
While the situation of the person is that he does not come to work and whenever I have seen him at work, the person either has a food party in his office or officers from his head office come. Then he comes to report to duty.
Recently, I had to go to a provincial office in connection with official work. It should be noted that the office hours of the provincial government are from 9 am to 5 pm. I reached this office at 9 am and found that the person who is supposed to do my work has not reached his seat yet. It was 10 o'clock and Sahib Bahadur appeared at 10 o'clock.
The point of saying is that even government employees do not like to be government employees. Because after getting a government job, they start thinking of themselves as creatures from another planet. Personally, I know many youths who search hard for government jobs, but when they get government jobs, they neglect their duties. Leaving early, being absent without notice, coming to the office and engaging in gossip and other activities, doing one's own business along with the government job, adding haram to official duties, etc.
After 20 years of government service, I have come to the conclusion that the sole cause of all our troubles and miseries is our neglect and carelessness in our assigned duties. The secret of the success of any developed and civilized world lies in the prescribed duties of that country and that nation. The secret of the success of this country and nation is due to the employees sitting in the institutions and institutions there.
